Outdoor First Aid Courses

ITC Outdoor First Aid course 26th - 27th April 2014 - £144 per person (including VAT)

The Outdoor First Aid course concentrates on issues involved with the longer term care of casualties in remote environments. It is often referred to as a Wilderness First Aid course or a Remote First Aid course.

Covering practical skills needed by those working in Remote, Wilderness and Mountain & Outdoor situations, this course provides the confidence and knowledge to deal with comprehensive life-saving first aid emergencies in the outdoor environment. It is recognised by most Outdoor National Governing Bodies Instructor Awards including Canoeing and Kayaking (BCU) and Mountaineering and Rock Climbing (MLTUK), as well as being of interest to Forestry Workers, Environmentalists and those undertaking Field Studies, to mention a few.  A lot more emphasis is placed on incident management, monitoring casualties and relaying information to Rescue teams. We assume minimal equipment (similar to what is already on your back) and provide plenty of practical scenarios.

The price includes: course registration, a first aid manual and certification.

Accommodation can be booked, if required, at YHA Okehampton.
