Adventure Okehampton is looking for a full time Senior Instructor.

We offer a range of onsite and offsite Activities, including Abseiling, Archery, Bushcraft, Climbing, High Ropes, Raft Building, Canoeing, Kayaking, Mountain biking and Mountain Boarding. Along with running the activities the Senior Instructor is responsible for assisting the Chief instructor with the day to day running of the activities department.

The Successful candidate should hold at least 2 National Governing Body Qualifications from the following: (HML, ML, SPA, CWA, MIAS Level 2, ERCA, UKCC Level 2 or higher)
Applicant should ideally have at least three years’ experience working in the outdoor industry and a full clean driving licence is essential.

Salary dependant on Qualifications and Experience.

Apprentice Instructor – Earn while you learn

We offer a range of onsite and offsite Activities, including Abseiling, Archery, Bushcraft, Climbing, High Ropes, Raft Building, Canoeing, Kayaking, Mountain biking and Mountain Boarding.

We looking for active, enthusiastic and motivated individuals for our 2018 season. No experience is necessary, as training will be given. However, a desire to work in the outdoor industry is essential. We have a great success rate in the years we have been delivering apprenticeships with Exeter College.

We offer a work placement as well as support for the Activity leadership in The Outdoors Apprenticeship. This is a great way into the outdoor industry giving the all-important practical experience as well as work based learning, so applicants will finish with a seasons experience in an outdoor centre along with national governing body qualifications.

The successful candidate will aim to gain the following Qualifications: CWA Training, MIAS Level 1, BC 2 Star, Foundation safety and rescue, UKCC Level 1, safeguarding children award, First Aid & a Navigational qualification.

 MULTI ACTIVITY INSTRUCTORS
We are looking for active, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our 2018 staff team. We are looking for instructors who hold a variety of national governing body awards, and experience in running a wide range of activities. Contracted for a 36 hour week from April to October inclusive. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications. If you want to join our team contact us now.

Accommodation We do have a limited amount of accommodation available.  We have a local house with rooms to let which is available through the centre.  Staff wishing to take up accommodation need to let us know as soon as possible due to limited availability.  Staff living at the centre would be required to do one or two nights sleep over duty a week which will be on a rota basis and they will receive appropriate training for.

SEASONAL FREELANCE INSTRUCTORS

We are looking for experienced instructors who hold a variety of qualifications namely, UKCC Level 1 coach or above, CWA, SPA, ML and driving licence is an advantage. Half day and full day rates vary depending on qualifications held.
