Rotary Young Leaders Course 2016
Each year the Rotary Clubs of Devon sponsor students to attend a 1 week residential course, which in aimed at improving the leadership skills for young people. In 2016 Adventure Okehampton will be hosting the 10th course at YHA Bracken Tor. It's no small feat to complete this course, as the week is packed full of activities and talks and leadership exercises.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a challenging programme which runs throughout the world and provides a unique opportunity for young people to develop leadership skills and self confidence under the guidance of business professionals, Rotarians and Adventure Instructors.
For the course run at Adventure Okehampton applications are welcomed from young people between the ages of 16-18 years who have the talent, energy and motivation to discover their leadership potential to attend this programme. It is open to young professionals, self employed people or student, and the RYLA experience provides a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, have fun and make new friends. To take the RYLA challenge and uncover your true potential! Successful candidates will be sponsored for the course by a particular Rotary Club in Devon.
