If your child has a birthday coming up an outdoor adventure party is a great option. It’s a perfect way to entertain kids and a wonderful way to get youngsters active in the fresh air. Our team will keep your group engaged for 2 hour party that they will not forget.
For children 5-11 we would recommend low ropes, climbing wall and mini abseil to keep the guests fully occupied. For older children the high ropes, gorge scrambling or canoeing push the adrenaline a little further.
A meal can be arranged at the end of day such as pizza, wedges and ice cream.
All activities can be taken throughout the year. Please contact us for package rates from £153 fora group of 16 people.
Catering Options
If you want to celebrate further, then book a party afterwards. For children, we’ve done Pizza, Fish Fingers, Chicken Nuggets and Chips. For Adults we’ve organised Hog Roasts, Hot Buffets, Carvery style meal through to 4 course meals with table service. We have a fully licensed bar at both hostels.
Want a longer celebration?
Then make it a weekend and hire the whole hostel for friends and family! Both YHA Bracken Tor and YHA Okehampton may be booked for one night or more. We recommend Bracken Tor (House or Lodge), as it is a great venue for a weekend party. We can run a cash bar for you, and you can invite your family and friends to join you for a party. We’ve organised Ceilidh bands, rocks bands as well as simple discos.
