🧗🗻 MEET EDDIE! 🧗🌄🧗Our resident climbing fanatic! If he's not bounding around at work, with a big smile on his face, he's climbing something! & no, I'm not talking about Therapy Dog Eddie, I'm talking about Ed!This is Ed's 2nd season at Adventure Okehampton & for those who don't know him, he's an easy going guy whose always up for an adventure & a bit of a laugh.Growing up on the Isle of Muck, a small Scottish Island, part of the Inner Hebrides. Ed has always been immersed in the outdoors & wanted to help bring these experiences to others. At work, he loves the diversity of the different activities & the range of people that he gets to work with, especially if he can help them to push their limits."I just love being in the outdoors. My favourite activities are definitely Climbing & Coasteering. My best ever adventure was a Trad Climbing trip to Morrocco with some childhood mates. Going to a new place & experiencing a different culture was really inspiring & as a young climber it opened up new possibilities to me within the world of Climbing."We've hit that time of year again where the Activity Centre is starting to quieten down, the weather is starting to cool down & get a little more damp. So it's an excellent time to get in a bit of training!... Ed has recently been working on his skills & been on a Mountaineering & Climbing instructor training course in North Wales... "It was a very wet & windy week, we were constantly chasing the weather around the Mountains. We were able to find sunshine for 2 of the 9 days, but were confined to waterproofs for the rest. I even cracked out the favourite wellies when things got really wet!"This training will enable Ed to teach & take clients Climbing & Scrambling on Mountainous terrain. If you see Ed around on site, give him a wave & I'm sure he'll be up for sharing his climbing stories with you! ...
