Mountain biking is a physically demanding activity and does require a certain level of bike riding ability. There are some trails locally that cater for a range of abilities from moderate skilled through to advanced levels.
For these advanced riders, we have developed routes using permitted tracks and trails that will allow you to develop your riding skills, negotiating some tight tracks and going over rough terrain. These sessions are more suited to older riders (teenagers and adults), as the rides are longer requiring some skills with braking and avoiding obstacles.
This activity is available for our groups and individuals over 10 years.

For groups private sessions can be run at any time of year.
Advancing your skills day
This day course offers you the chance to build your confidence on a bike, you will need to be able to ride a bike confidently and be reasonably fit for the weekend. There are two options, first using local woods with tracks and trails to test your skills and as we ride straight out from the centre, you’ll be spending an action packed day. Depending on the group skills level there may be an option to venture out onto open moorland.
Giant Cycles will be supplied however if you would prefer to bring your own you are welcome to do so, providing it meets our safety standards.
